Burnt body recovered from Mouchak flyover
Police have recovered burnt body of an unidentified person from the Mouchak flyover in the capital. The body was completely charred, making it impossible to determine the individual's identity or age.
Shahjahanpur Thana police recovered the body around 1:30 am on Sunday, April 12, and sent it to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Sub-Inspector Md Mehedi Hasan of Shahjahanpur Police Station said police arrived at the scene after receiving information through 999 and found the burnt body. He said, "Due to the extent of burning, it is not possible to determine whether the person was male or female, nor can the age be established."
The SI said a fire had broken out on the flyover on Friday night, which fire service members extinguished. Later, on Saturday night, city corporation cleaners came to collect garbage and spotted the burnt body, subsequently alerting 999. It is believed that the individual died in that fire.
