Bus of Parishtan Paribahan set on fire in Pallabi

A bus of Parishtan Paribahan has been set on fire beside a government college under Pallabi Police Station in the capital.

Mirpur Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Md Mustaq Sarkar confirmed the matter around 2:15pm on Sunday, September 20.

He said a fire occurred in a bus of Parishtan Paribahan beside the government college on Ceramic Road in the morning amid rain. The fire occurred between 7:15am and 7:30am while a bus of Parishtan Paribahan was parked. It is being investigated who or which group carried out the incident.

Owner of Parishtan Paribahan, Khan Md Mahitul Islam, said that around 7:30am, his former driver called him and informed that a fire had occurred in the Parishtan bus (Dhaka Metro B-11-8703). Upon receiving the news, he went to the scene and saw that his bus had been burnt.

Asked whether he had filed a case over the incident, he said he had not done so yet.
