Bus services suspended on Naogaon-Bogura-Dhaka route

Bus services on the Naogaon to Bogura-Dhaka route have been suspended without prior notice, leading to inconvenience for passengers.

Following the stabbing of a labor leader in Bogura, all inter-district and long-distance buses were halted from Wednesday morning (March 19). As a result, passengers traveling on this route before Eid are facing difficulties.

A passenger named Moslem Uddin, traveling to Bogura, said, "I came to the bus terminal for an urgent trip to Bogura, but I found the buses were not running. I have no choice but to take a battery-operated rickshaw at double the fare to get to Bogura. The suspension of bus services is nothing but harassment for the common people."

Rafiqul Islam Chowdhury, General Secretary of the Naogaon Bus Owners Group, said, "Due to the stabbing of a labor leader in Bogura, all buses from Naogaon to Bogura and Dhaka are currently suspended. For now, there is no direct bus service between the two districts."

However, he said that while bus services to these two districts have been suspended since the morning, some buses to Dhaka are taking an alternative route through Kahalu in Bogura.
