Miscreants torched a moving bus of Savar Paribahan in front of Nandan Park in Baripara area of Dhaka’s Ashulia on the eve of the 48-hour blockade sponsored by BNP and its allies. The incident took place around 11:30pm on Tuesday. Deputy Assistant Director of Directorate of Fire Service and Civil Defense (Zone-4) Md Alauddin confirmed the news to the media. On information, two units of the fire service rushed to the spot and doused the fire. "We came to know that the driver and helpers of the bus got down from the bus after it was set on fire. However, there was no casualty reported yet," said the fire service official.

সাভারের আশুলিয়ায় যাত্রীবাহী চলন্ত বাসে আগুন দিয়েছে দুর্বৃত্তরা। মঙ্গলবার (২১ নভেম্বর) রাত ১১টার দিকে নবীনগর-চন্দ্রা মহাসড়কের বাড়ইপাড়া নন্দন পার্ক এলাকায় নবীনগরগামী লেনের মাঝে সাভার পরিবহনের একটি বাসে এ আগুন দেওয়ার ঘটনা ঘটে। ফায়ার সার্ভিস জানায়, রাতে নবীনগর-চন্দ্রা মহাসড়কের বাড়ইপাড়া এলাকায় একটি যাত্রীবাহী বাসে আগুন ধরিয়ে দেয় দুর্বৃত্তরা। খবর পেয়ে জিরাবো মডার্ন ফায়ার সার্ভিসের একটি ইউনিটের দুটি গাড়ি ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। জিরাবো মডার্ন ফায়ার সার্ভিসের উপ-সহকারী পরিচালক মো. আলাউদ্দিন ঢাকা পোস্টকে বলেন, বাসে আগুন দেওয়ার খবর পেয়ে আমাদের একটি ইউনিট দ্রুত ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে আগুন নিয়ন্ত্রণে আনে। এ ঘটনায় কোনো হতাহতের খবর পাওয়া যায়নি। উল্লেখ্য, গত ২৮ অক্টোবর থেকে এ নিয়ে সাভারে তিনটি বাসে আগুন দেওয়ার ঘটনা ঘটল।
