Businessman killed in motorcycle accident on Hanif Flyover

A businessman named Abul Kashem, 60, was killed in a motorcycle accident on the Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover in the capital's Jatrabari area. He lost control of his motorcycle at the Dhalpur turning point and was thrown onto the road around 5pm on Tuesday. Pedestrians and police officers rescued him in critical condition and rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the attending doctor declared him dead around 6pm.

The deceased, Abul Kashem, was a resident of the Shewrapara area in Mirpur, Dhaka, and ran a rod and cement business. Family members shared that he was returning to Dhaka on his motorcycle after visiting relatives in Shariatpur. Following the accident, a pedestrian named Sadia and Sub-Inspector (SI) Soumitra Sarkar of Jatrabari Police Station arranged for his prompt transport to the hospital.

Inspector Md. Faruk of the DMCH Police Outpost confirmed that the body has been kept in the hospital morgue and the matter has been reported to the relevant police station.
