Businessman's throat slit, third killing in 3 days in Bogura

Police have recovered the body of Saiful Islam, 40, a businessman with his throat slit in Gabtali upazila, Bogura. With this, three individuals have fallen victim to murder in three days in Bogura.

The body was found in front of Saiful Islam's own house in Sandhyabari village of the upazila around 9 am on Sunday, February 15. Police believe he was killed at some point during the night on Saturday. The deceased Saiful was a transport businessman.

Officer-in-Charge of Gabtali Model Police Station Md Anisur Rahman confirmed the information regarding the murder.

The OC said, "Upon receiving information from locals, we arrived at the spot and recovered the body. Saiful was murdered in a planned manner. The body is being sent to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy."

He further stated that the reason for the murder could not be immediately ascertained. Operations are underway to identify and arrest those involved.

Earlier, two individuals had fallen victim to murder in separate incidents over the past two days in Bogura. They were Alif, 16, and Fahim Hasan, 19.

Fahim Hasan was murdered in a stabbing incident on February 14 morning in the Matidali area of Bogura city. And on February 13, police recovered the bloodstained body of Alif from a garage in the Nishindara area of Bogura city. Marks of sharp weapon injuries were found on various parts of his body.

With the murder of Saiful in Gabtali upazila, three individuals have fallen victim to murder in three days in this district.
