CA encourages Bhutan to leverage Bangladesh’s infrastructure
Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, has urged Bhutan to fully utilize the country’s infrastructural resources to maximize bilateral cooperation between the two nations. He made the remarks during a courtesy visit by Bhutan’s newly appointed ambassador, Dasho Karma Hamu Dorjee, at the state guest house Jamuna on Wednesday.
Dr. Yunus emphasized that Bhutan could benefit significantly by tapping into Bangladesh’s extensive infrastructural facilities. He also highlighted the considerable potential for expanding cooperation between Bangladesh and Bhutan across various sectors.
Ambassador Dorjee conveyed the greetings of Bhutan’s Prime Minister and acknowledged Bangladesh’s valuable support, especially in establishing a special economic zone and promoting medical education in Bhutan. He expressed Bhutan’s desire to deepen its partnership and work more closely with Bangladesh.
The Chief Adviser further stressed the importance of strengthening people-to-people ties, encouraging young people from both countries to explore cultural exchanges through travel and mutual engagement.
