CA inquires about Nur's health at DMCH

Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus inquired about the health and condition of Nurul Haque Nur, President of the Gono Odhikar Parishad.

Around 1:00pm on Saturday (August 30), Dr. Yunus called Nur, who is receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). During their conversation, Nur shared the details of the incident from the previous night. Dr. Yunus assured him that a thorough investigation would be carried out, adding, "Action will be taken against those responsible for the incident."

Abu Hanif, a senior member and media coordinator of Gono Odhikar Parishad, confirmed the matter.

Earlier on Friday night (August 29), following a clash between the workers of Jatiya Party and Gono Odhikar Parishad in the Bijoynagar area of the capital, Nur and around fifty other leaders and workers were injured in an attack by army and police personnel in front of Al-Razi Tower. After the incident, several political parties, including BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, condemned and protested against it.
