CA to inaugurate 'July Shaheed Smriti Scholarship" Tuesday

To commemorate the brave students who laid down their lives during the anti-discrimination student uprising, the National University is introducing the 'July Shaheed Smriti Scholarship'. Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus will officially inaugurate the event on Tuesday (July 1).

According to sources from the College Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the National University, this scholarship has been introduced to keep the sacrifices of the martyrs memorable and to show respect for them.

The university authorities have announced that as part of the government's July Smriti Events 2025, the National University has scheduled a 36-day program from July 1 to August 5. The launch of the 'July Shaheed Smriti Scholarship' will kick off this series of events.

A ceremony will take place at Karabi Hall at Dr. Muhammad Yunus' office in capital's Tejgaon, to mark the inauguration of the scholarship. During the event, the scholarships will be awarded to the selected students, and the national 'July Smriti Events' will be officially launched.

The National University has issued the necessary instructions to the principals and heads of all its affiliated colleges. The event will be broadcast live or recorded and shown on large screens or multimedia across college campuses.
