Dr. Yunus praised the Bangladesh Navy’s Hydrographic Department for its tireless work in conducting surveys, preparing charts, and ensuring maritime safety in line with international standards. He also underscored their crucial role in defining Bangladesh’s continental shelf and boosting the blue economy under UN maritime laws.
The Chief Adviser expressed hope that the Hydrographic Department will expand its role in port development, fisheries conservation, oil and gas exploration, and coastal disaster management alongside national security efforts.
