Case filed over killing of Swechchhasebak Dal leader Musabbir

A case has been filed over the killing of Musabbir, former general secretary of the Uttara Swechchhasebak Dal, who was shot dead by unidentified assailants in a lane near Star Kabab on Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue near Karwan Bazar's Star Hotel.

The deceased’s wife filed the case, naming three to four unidentified individuals as suspects, Kaisainu Marma, officer-in-charge (OC) of Tejgaon Police Station, confirmed this morning (January 8).

The shooting took place around 8:40pm on Wednesday (January 7) near Tejturi Bazar. In the incident, Abu Sufian Masud, general secretary of Karwan Bazar Van Association, was also shot and is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Musabbir’s body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy, scheduled to be completed today.
