CEC to meet US Charge d’Affaires today

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) A.M.M. Nasir Uddin is scheduled to hold a meeting with the United States Embassy’s Charge d’Affaires, Tracy Ann Jacobson, on Thursday, August 28.

The CEC’s office confirmed the development on Wednesday. According to officials, the meeting will take place at 2:00 PM at the Election Commission headquarters.

This will be the first formal interaction between the US Embassy and the EC since August 5, amid growing diplomatic interest in Bangladesh’s upcoming national elections.
