Chhatra Dal issues 6 directives ahead of Aug 3 student rally at Shahbagh
The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has issued six crucial directives for its leaders and activists ahead of the student rally scheduled to take place at Shahbagh on August 3.
The directives were issued in an official notification from the Chhatra Dal central office on Friday afternoon (August 1), signed by President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir.
According to the statement, adherence to the guidelines is mandatory to maintain organizational discipline and ensure the rally is conducted in an orderly and successful manner.
The six directivess are as follows: No banners, festoons, or placards will be allowed at the rally; All units must remain at their assigned central locations from the beginning to the end of the event; Uninterrupted movement of ambulances and emergency vehicles must be ensured from Katabon intersection to Hotel Intercontinental via the alley between Aziz Supermarket and Bangladesh Medical Hospital; No unit vehicles will be allowed into the Dhaka University area on the day of the rally; No separate processions or showdowns by any individual or unit will be permitted at the venue; All attendees must clean and vacate the area in an orderly manner after the rally concludes.
Sources within Chhatra Dal said preparations are underway to mobilise thousands of activists from across the country, including Dhaka. Additionally to central leaders, participants will include members from various university, college, and metropolitan units.
