Chhatra Dal leader expelled for 'Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu' Facebook post

A union-level leader of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal in Kishoreganj's Pakundia upazila has been expelled from the party for a Facebook post that read "Joy Bangla, Joy Bangabandhu". The expelled leader is Monayem Khan, who served as the joint convener of Sukhia Union Chhatra Dal.

The decision was announced in a press release signed by Pakundia Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Mazharul Haque and Member Secretary Shahin Alam on Saturday, May 2.

The release stated that Monayem Khan has been stripped of his primary membership and all organisational positions due to clear evidence of violating party discipline.

The upazila unit has instructed leaders and activists at all levels to refrain from maintaining any organisational contact with him.

When contacted, Pakundia Upazila Chhatra Dal Convener Mazharul Haque said the decision was taken following clear evidence of breach of discipline, including the Facebook post containing the slogan and absence from organisational work.

Attempts to reach expelled leader Monayem Khan for comments were unsuccessful as he did not answer his phone.
