Nasir Uddin Nasir, General Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Student Party’s Central Committee, confirmed the announcement.
Voting for the DUCSU election began at 8 am and concluded at 4 pm on Tuesday. A five-page ballot was used for the DUCSU posts, while a one-page ballot was used for hall council elections.
This year, a total of 471 candidates contested for 28 DUCSU positions. Additionally, 1,035 candidates vied for 234 posts across 18 hall councils.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niyaz Ahmed Khan visited three polling centers in the Senate building around 3 PM and reassured the public about the election’s transparency, noting that over 70 percent of votes had already been cast.
He also confirmed that students remaining in line after the official closing time of 4 PM would still be allowed to vote.
