Chief of Pakistan Navy visits Bangladesh on 3-day official tour
Chief of the Pakistan Navy Admiral Naveed Ashraf has arrived in Bangladesh on a three-day official visit, Sunday, November 9.
He paid a courtesy call at the Bangladesh Navy headquarters in Banani to meet Chief of the Bangladesh Navy Admiral M Nazmul Hasan.
During the meeting, both naval chiefs exchanged pleasantries and discussed professional and training-related matters concerning the navies of both countries. They also expressed optimism about continuing cooperation to further strengthen the existing relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.
According to ISPR, the meeting was attended by a delegation from the Pakistan Navy, the Pakistan High Commissioner, defence attachés, and other senior military officials.
Earlier, the Chief of the Pakistan Navy laid a wreath at the memorial of martyrs of the Liberation War and paid a courtesy call to the Chief of the Army.
As part of the visit, the Pakistan Navy ship PNS Saif arrived in Chattogram. The ship’s captain and other officials will visit Bangladesh Naval Academy, naval bases, and various sightseeing sites in Chattogram. Members of the Bangladesh Navy will also visit the ship, allowing naval personnel from both countries to exchange professional skills and experiences.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Chief of the Pakistan Navy and the ship will leave Bangladesh on November 12.
