Child tortured, super glue applied to eyes by sister's husband
An eight-year-old boy named Wahid has been victimised by his sister's husband in Savar. He was rescued in a bloody condition and admitted to Savar Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
Locals rescued the child in a bloody condition from in front of Nila Borsha Park in Kulla union, Dhamrai, on Saturday morning, April 4.
Injured Wahid is the son of Nazim Uddin and Sahida. The family lives in a rented house owned by Rahat in Bhagalpur, Savar. The accused, Rajjak, is the son of Salam from Bordail area of Dhamrai.
Witness Shirin said she saw the boy lying near the park in the morning. His eyes were swollen and blood was coming from his body. With the help of some youths, she brought him to Savar Upazila Health Complex.
The injured boy's father, Nazim Uddin, said, "My son Wahid was beaten by my daughter's husband Rajjak. When I came to Savar Upazila Health Complex at noon, I saw that super glue had been applied to both eyes."
Savar Upazila Health Complex Family Planning Officer Dr Touhid Al Hasan said a child was brought to the hospital in the morning. Super glue had been applied to close the child's eyes, and signs of torture were found.
