China has given positive feedback on Teesta project'
The High Representative of the Chief Adviser, Dr Khalilur Rahman, said that China has expressed interest in working on the country's water resources management. At the same time, they have also given positive feedback on working on the much-discussed Teesta project.
He gave this information at a briefing organized at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Sunday (March 30) afternoon to inform about the Chief Adviser's visit to China.
Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Ashiq Chowdhury and Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam were present at the time.
Dr Muhammad Yunus arrived in China on a four-day official visit last Wednesday (March 26). During the visit, the Chief Adviser held several meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and senior government officials. During this time, an agreement and eight memorandums of understanding on economic and technical cooperation between Bangladesh and China were signed. He also addressed the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) conference in Hainan, China. There, he met with various organizations and individuals, including Chinese business representatives.
Professor Yunus met with Chen Huaiyu, Chairman of the Export-Import Bank of China (Exim Bank).
