Chinese ambassador meets PM's adviser Nazrul Islam Khan

Chinese Ambassador to Dhaka Yao Wen has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister's Political and Agricultural Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan.

The meeting was held at the adviser's office at the Prime Minister's Tejgaon office on Tuesday, April 21, confirmed Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Zahidul Islam.

The meeting discussed various issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and China, with particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation in agriculture, forestry and education sectors. Detailed discussions were held on modern agricultural technology, forestry activities for environmental conservation, and skill development programmes in the education sector.

Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan sought more active cooperation from China in these sectors.

Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen assured continued cooperation in various development sectors of Bangladesh. Cultural Counsellor Li Shaopeng and Second Secretary Huang Maochong from the Chinese embassy were present at the meeting.
