Chinese national's body recovered from hotel room in Uttara
Police have recovered the body of a Chinese national, identified as Li Xingqiang, from a room at a hotel in Uttara. He was approximately 40 years old.
The body was recovered from Room No. 905 of Bengal Hotel and Hospitality Limited in Sector 3 of Uttara on Saturday morning, September 5.
Uttara West Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Khalid Mansur said the Chinese national was found lying on the floor of Room No. 905 in the morning. Three other Chinese nationals staying in Rooms 404 and 406 of the same hotel noticed the incident and informed the hotel authorities. Police were later notified and arrived at the scene to recover the body.
Police said the deceased Chinese national had arrived in Bangladesh the previous night and checked into the hotel. After completing the inquest report, the body was sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Preliminary investigations suggest the individual had consumed excessive alcohol during the night. However, the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the autopsy report is received.
An unnatural death case has been filed in connection with the incident.
