Chuadanga records lowest temperature at 9.8°C
The lowest temperature in the country, 9.8 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Chuadanga at 6:00am on Thursday, January 2.
According to the Meteorological Office, dense fog is expected throughout the day, accompanied by intense cold.
Meanwhile, fog has settled over various parts of the country, including the capital, since this morning. As a result, temperatures have dropped, intensifying the cold.
Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid said to local media that dense fog is expected for the next two to three days with daytime temperatures will remain low, making the cold feel more intense.
"There is no cold wave expected to begin next week," he said.
