In a decisive move to combat misinformation and fraud surrounding the ongoing SSC exams, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has identified and shut down 17 social media accounts involved in circulating fake exam questions. These accounts included Facebook pages, groups, personal profiles, TikTok accounts, and YouTube channels.

The CID released a statement on Sunday confirming that their Cyber Police Center (CPC) is actively gathering digital evidence such as mobile numbers and IP addresses to identify and prosecute those behind the fraudulent activities.

The department highlighted the use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to monitor and swiftly counter attempts to spread false information and financial scams linked to the SSC exam. Prior to the start of the exams, a coordinated network had been disseminating rumors about fake question leaks aimed at confusing students and committing fraud.

CID officials emphasized that the volume of such incidents this year has notably decreased compared to previous years, restoring greater trust among examinees and their families. The CPC continues to urge the public to remain vigilant and avoid engaging with fake content or rumors.
