City College students block Science Lab demanding removal of principal, vice-principal

Students of Dhaka City College have blocked Science Lab road in Dhaka, demanding the resignation of principal and vice-principal. On Monday (October 28), around 12:30 PM, they marched from the college and blocked the road, chanting various slogans against the principal and vice-principal.

In response to the situation, the army arrived at the scene at around 1:15 PM, while police had already been present to maintain order.

The students closed both gates of the college, causing a disruption to traffic on Dhanmondi Road 2. Army personnel were seen urging students to remain calm.

The protesters stated that Principal Kazi Mohammad Neamul Haque and Vice-Principal Mohammad Mokhlesur Rahman have been conducting various activities at the college in violation of regulations and are using the institution for personal gain. They demanded their resignation and vowed to continue their protests until appropriate action is taken by the Ministry of Education and relevant authorities.

On the other hand, the blockade has halted traffic on both sides of this important road. Law enforcement personnel have been seen positioned at the scene to calm the situation.
