Several people have reportedly been injured in a clash between the Chhatra Dal, the BNP’s student wing, and Shibir, Jamaat-e-Islami’s student wing, over the hanging of an Islami Chhatra Shibir banner at Dhaka’s Government Titumir College. The clash broke out around midnight on Saturday, but the situation has now returned to normal, Rasel Sarwar, officer-in-charge (OC) of Banani Police Station, said on Sunday morning (November 23). “The situation is now calm and police have been deployed in the area,” the OC added.
