A cocktail exploded on the road outside the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Segunbagicha, Dhaka, on Sunday afternoon (September 20). The explosion occurred around 1:30pm, shortly after a similar blast was reported near the High Court, about 15 minutes earlier. Sheikh Zahidul Islam, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Ramna Division, confirmed the incident. “The incident is true. We received information about a cocktail explosion on the road in front of Shilpakala Academy. We are looking into the details,” he said. Police are investigating the Shilpakala Academy explosion as well as the earlier incident near the High Court. No casualties were immediately reported.

রাজধানীর সেগুনবাগিচায় শিল্পকলা একাডেমির সামনে ককটেল বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। রোববার (২০ সেপ্টেম্বর) দুপুর দেড়টার দিকে শিল্পকলা একাডেমির সামনের সড়কে এ বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটে। ডিএমপির রমনা বিভাগের উপপুলিশ কমিশনার (ডিসি) শেখ জাহিদুল ইসলাম বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, রাজধানীর শিল্পকলা একাডেমির সামনের সড়কে ককটেল বিস্ফোরণের খবর পাওয়া গেছে। বিস্তারিত খোঁজ নেওয়া হচ্ছে। এর আগে দুপুর সোয়া ১টার দিকে হাইকোর্টের সামনের সড়কেও ককটেল বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটে।
