A 'cocktail' explosion has occurred at the capital's Technical Intersection. However, no one has been reported injured in the incident so far. The incident took place around 8:15 pm on Tuesday (June 23), said Darus Salam Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Dulal Hossain. He said that an explosion was heard at the Technical Intersection. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether it was a cocktail or a firecracker. Something like gunpowder was seen lying at the scene. The OC also said that it is not yet known whether anyone was injured in the explosion. An investigation is underway to find out who was involved in the incident.

রাজধানীর টেকনিক্যাল মোড়ে ‘ককটেল’ বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনা ঘটেছে। তবে এ ঘটনায় এখন পর্যন্ত কেউ আহত হওয়ার খবর পাওয়া যায়নি। মঙ্গলবার (২৩ জুন) রাত সোয়া ৮টার দিকে এ ঘটনা ঘটে বলে জানিয়েছেন দারুস সালাম থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. দুলাল হোসেন। তিনি জানান, টেকনিক্যাল মোড়ে একটি বিস্ফোরণের শব্দ পাওয়া যায়। তবে এটি ককটেল নাকি পটকা, তা এখনো নিশ্চিত হওয়া যায়নি। ঘটনাস্থলে গানপাউডারের মতো কিছু পড়ে থাকতে দেখা গেছে। ওসি আরও জানান, বিস্ফোরণের ঘটনায় কেউ আহত হয়েছেন কি না, তা এখনো জানা যায়নি। কারা এ ঘটনার সঙ্গে জড়িত, তা খতিয়ে দেখতে তদন্ত চলছে।
