College student's hanging body recovered in Azimpur

Police have recovered the hanging body of a college student named Benazir Ahmed Rose (19) from Azimpur area of ​​Lalbagh police station in the capital. She was a class 12 student of Munshi Abdur Rouf College.

She was rescued unconscious at around 1:30 am on Wednesday (March 26) and brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital. After examining her, the doctor on duty declared him dead.

Ferdous Alam Sayem, the maternal uncle of the deceased Rose, said, "My niece was supposed to take the final exam of the intermediate second year. In the meantime, she got married last month of her own choice. She returned to her home three days ago due to a family dispute.

He said, "Last night, without telling anyone, she went to her room, closed the door, wrapped a veil around her neck and hanged herself from the fan." Later, when we came to know about the matter, we informed the police. When the police came to rescue her and took her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the doctor said that my niece was no longer alive.

Lalbagh Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Nazmul Hossain said, "We received information and rescued the college student hanging from the ceiling fan on the seventh floor of a house with a veil around her neck." Later, when she was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the doctor declared her dead.

The SI also said, "After talking to the relatives of the deceased, we learned that the student married a boy of her choice a month ago. But since the marriage, she was not getting along with her husband and in-laws. So, she moved to her mother's house in Azimpur a few days ago. Last night, she hanged herself in her room, unseen by everyone.

He also said that the body has been kept in the hospital's emergency department morgue for autopsy."
