Commemorative stamp unveiled to mark July Mass Uprising Day
A commemorative postage stamp, along with an inaugural envelope and special postmark, was officially unveiled on Tuesday to mark July Mass Uprising Day 2025. The unveiling ceremony took place at the State Guest House Jamuna, with Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus presiding over the event.
The initiative honours the historic July mass uprising and reflects the nation's ongoing commitment to preserving the memory of democratic movements.
Present at the ceremony were Education Adviser C. R. Abrar, Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam, Industry and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, and Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan. Also in attendance were Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser on Posts, Telecommunications, and ICT; Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the ICT Division; and Abu Naser Khan, Secretary of Posts and Telecommunications.
The commemorative release is part of a broader effort to engage the public with national history through philatelic initiatives.
