National Consensus Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Dr Ali Riaz said the commission is keeping an eye on the proposed amendments on certain issues, considering the statements and aspirations of political parties to prevent any misunderstandings.

He made the remarks during his opening speech on the tenth day of the second phase of talks with political parties, held at the Doel Hall of the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka at 11:15 am on Monday (July 7).

Dr Ali Riaz said that the commission has made a different proposal by bringing amendments due to objections from most parties regarding the National Constitutional Council (NCC). "The commission is moving forward in harmony with everyone's opinions. Many things have to be omitted. Nothing is being imposed," he said.

He called for everyone's cooperation to expedite the process, saying, "We must keep in mind the limited time available."
