Complaint filed against GM Quader among 18 over attack on Gono Odhikar Parishad procession

Bangladesh Chhatra-Odhikar Parishad has filed a complaint with Ramna Model Police Station against 18 people including Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader over the attack on Gono Odhikar Parishad's procession.

The organization's organizing secretary Akhtaruzzaman Samrat Majhi filed the complaint on Tuesday.

The complaint names a total of 18 people, including Jatiya Party Secretary General Barrister Shamim Haider Patwary and Presidium member Haji Saifuddin Ahmed Milon.

Ramna Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Faruk said, they have filed a complaint mentioning the attack. "We will investigate the the matter. If the truth is found after verifying the time and place of the incident, a case will be filed."

Earlier on August 29, a clash took place between Jatiya Party and Gono Odhikar Parishad in the capital's Bijoynagar area. Several leaders and activists, including the President of the organization, Nurul Haque Nur, were injured in the incident.

Seriously injured Nurul Haque Nur was discharged from Dhaka Medical College (DMCH) Hospital on Monday (September 15) after undergoing treatment for 18 days.
