Consensus Commission headed by CA Yunus formed

The National Consensus Commission has been formed under the leadership of the Chief Adviser to the interim government, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. The members of this commission are the heads of 6 commissions. The commission will start working from February 15.

This information was given in a notification issued by the Cabinet Division on Wednesday.

It said that the Bangladesh government has formed a commission named 'National Consensus Commission' after considering the recommendations of the reform commissions and with the approval of the Chief Advisor to the interim government.

The commission is chaired by Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the vice-chaired by the head of the Constitutional Reform Commission, Professor Ali Riaz.

In addition, the members of the commission are Public Administration Reform Commission Head Abdul Mueed Chowdhury, Police Reform Commission Head Safar Raj Hossain, Electoral Reform Commission Head Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Justice Emdadul Haque of the Judicial Reform Commission and Anti-Corruption Commission Reform Commission Head Dr. Iftekharuzzaman.
