The National Consensus Commission is set to hold its inaugural meeting with political parties this afternoon.

Scheduled to take place from 3.00pm to 5:30pm on Saturday (February 15), at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital, the meeting will be addressed by Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser of the interim government.

A statement from the chief adviser's press wing has confirmed this.

"The dialogue will begin with the six reports of the Reform Commission, and the first meeting will bring all political parties together," said Shafiqul Alam, press secretary.

Earlier this week, the press secretary stated that individuals responsible for genocide, corruption, disappearances, and murders would be held accountable.

He emphasized that most citizens desire peaceful political engagement and that efforts will be made to foster such an environment.
