Conspiracies will increase if election is delayed: Tarique Rahman

The Acting Chairman of BNP, Tarique Rahman, has commented that the longer the election is delayed, the more the conspiracies will increase.

He stated that the former authoritarian regime continues to conspire with both domestic and foreign masters.

Tarique Rahman made this remark at the inaugural session of the BNP's Chuadanga District Branch Conference-2024.

On Saturday (November 23), BNP's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir inaugurated the conference at the local Town Football Field in Chuadanga. Tarique Rahman participated virtually in the conference.

Tarique Rahman emphasized that only through elected representatives can reforms be implemented.

He added that the reforms the current government is talking about are also desired by the BNP. He warned that if elections are delayed in the name of more reforms, the conspirators might take advantage of the situation.

Tarique Rahman also mentioned that the existing problems in the country can be solved through a fair election.

The local BNP organized the biennial council of the district BNP in Chuadanga, where the president and general secretary were elected through voting. A workshop on 31 points of the state structure reform and a departmental training on public engagement were also held.

This conference of Chuadanga District BNP is being held after 25 years.
