Content creator Kafi's house set on fire at midnight

Popular content creator Nuruzzaman Kafi’s ancestral home in Rajpara village under Kalapara Upazila of Patuakhali was set on fire. Kafi made this claim in a post on his verified Facebook page at 3:55 am on Wednesday.

Kafi wrote on Facebook, "In the middle of the night, my house and kitchen have been completely burned down. For whom and for which country was I speaking? I fought and continue to fight. I have received no protection."

Meanwhile, Mohammad Elias Hossain, officer of the Kolapara Fire Service Station, told the media, "We received the news of the fire around 2:15 am on Wednesday. We reached the spot quickly and saw that the fire had spread to the ceiling. We put out the fire as quickly as possible with full strength."

There were no casualties in this incident.

Speaking about the incident, Kafi’s father, Maulana Mohammad ABM Habibur Rahman, said, "The perpetrators set fire to our house. This was a cowardly attempt to harm us. We demand a thorough investigation and justice. We had to escape through the door. There’s nothing left. Everything has been destroyed."

During the COVID-19 period, Kafi gained viral attention with his content. His father serves as the superintendent of Rozopara Din E- Elahi Dakhil Madrasaha.
