Continuous rain causes waterlogging in capital, ports issue warning
Since Wednesday afternoon, heavy rains have caused waterlogging on various roads and areas in the capital. The Meteorological Office has also issued warnings for four seaports in the country.
Meteorologist Md. Hafizur Rahman stated, "There may be a low-pressure system forming in the sea, which could lead to increased rainfall over the next two to three days."
The Meteorological Office's warning highlights that deep circulating clouds have developed over the North Bay of Bengal and Bangladesh’s coastal areas due to the monsoon. As a result, strong winds may affect the coastal regions, the North Bay, and sea ports. Consequently, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla, and Payra seaports have been advised to hoist warning signal number 3.
