Coordinator Mahfuz Alam appointed special assistant to Chief Adviser
Md Mahfuz Alam, coordinator of the Liaison Committee for the anti-discrimination student movement, has been appointed as special assistant to Professor Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser of the interim government. He will hold the position with the status of a secretary on a contractual basis.
The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification to this end on Wednesday (August 28).
The notification stated that Mahfuz Alam would serve in the position for the duration of the chief adviser’s term or until his performance meets the chief adviser’s satisfaction, starting from the date of his appointment.
Other terms of this appointment would be determined by the approved contract.
Earlier on August 23, Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Hafiz was appointed as Special Assistant to Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus.
