Country's largest Eid congregation held at Dinajpur

The largest Eid congregation in the country was held at the Gor-E-Shahid Eidgah Maidan in Dinajpur on Monday (March 31).

The first Eid prayer took place at 9 am, drawing thousands of worshippers from across the nation.

Maulana Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman led the historic Eid congregation. It was attended by Deputy Commissioner Rafiqul Islam, Dinajpur Municipal Administrator Biazul Islam, Dinajpur Police Superintendent Marufat Hussain Maruf, District BNP President and General Secretary, District Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer and leaders and activists of various political parties.

Arrangements at the Eidgah Maidan included wudu facilities, designated parking spaces, a medical team, food and water provisions, and 145 microphones to ensure smooth proceedings.

A robust three-tier security measure was implemented for the safety of worshippers.

Additionally, each dome and minaret of the Eidgah was beautifully illuminated with electrical lighting.
