The court has ordered to submit the investigation report in the murder case of meritorious student Tanvir Muhammad Taqi of Narayanganj by July 1. Narayanganj Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Nurul Huda Chowdhury gave this order after the hearing on Monday afternoon.

Earlier, the investigating officer Additional Superintendent of Police Deepak Chandra Majumder applied for another 30 days for the sake of a fair investigation of the case, and the court granted it on April 26. However, since the report was not submitted within the stipulated time, the court ordered to submit it again by July 1 today.

Among the accused, Yusuf Hossain, Kajal Hawlader, Abdullah Al Mamun, Safayet Hossain, Mamun Mia, Yar Mohammad Parvez and Rifat Hossain appeared in the court today. The other two accused Sultan Shawkat and Saleh Rahman Simanto are still absconding. Narayanganj Court Police Inspector Abdus Samad confirmed the matter.

Plaintiff's lawyer Pradeep Ghosh said that in the previous hearing, the investigating officer was asked to inform the court about the progress of filing the charge sheet. But since no report or application was received in this regard, a request has been made to file the charge sheet quickly.

Taqi's father Rafiur Rabbi expressed his anger and said that the investigation agency has taken time 104 times so far. More than 13 years and three months have passed since the murder, yet the investigation report has not been submitted. On April 26, when he asked for more time, the investigating officer said that permission from a higher official was needed to prepare the report. His question is, do we have to wait months and months for that permission too?
