COVID-19: Another death in Jashore

Another COVID-19 patient has died at the 250-bed General Hospital, Jashore, marking the second virus-related death in the district within two days.

The deceased has been identified as Yusuf, 45, hailed from Mahmudkati village in Monirampur upazila, passed away early Thursday (June 19) in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). He had been admitted with kidney complications and later tested positive for COVID-19.

Just a day earlier, Sheikh Amir Hossain, 65, also succumbed to the virus at the same hospital.

Confirming the deaths, hospital superintendent Dr. Hussain Shafayat said, “Two COVID-19 patients have died at our facility in the past two days.”
