Car falls from flyover in Ctg

A private car (Chattogram Metro-Gh-11-3884) plunged from a flyover in Nimtola of Chattogram, killing a cyclist and injuring five car occupants. The accident took place around 4.30pm on Thursday (November 20). The deceased cyclist has been identified as Shafiq. Futher details about him is yet to known. The identities of the other injured are yet to be confirmed. &nbsp; According to Chattogram Traffic Police Inspector Aminur, the car was traveling from Patenga via the Elevated Expressway toward Lal Khan Bazar when it suddenly fell from the flyover, striking the cyclist. Fire service personnel rescued Shafiq and the injured passengers, who were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital, where doctors later declared Shafiq dead. &nbsp;

চট্টগ্রাম নগরের নিমতলা বিশ্বরোড এলাকায় বেপরোয়া গতির একটি প্রাইভেট কার (চট্টমেট্টো-ঘ-১১-৩৮৮৪) ফ্লাইওভার থেকে নিচে ছিটকে পড়ে। দুর্ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেল সাড়ে চারটার দিকে। ঘটনায় শফিক নামে এক সাইকেল আরোহী নিহত হয়েছেন। প্রাইভেট কারের চালকসহ পাঁচজন আরোহী আহত হয়েছেন। চট্টগ্রাম ট্রাফিক পুলিশ পরিদর্শক (বন্দর) আমিনুর জানান, দুর্ঘটনাগ্রস্ত গাড়িটি পতেঙ্গা থেকে এলিভেটেড এক্সপ্রেসওয়ে হয়ে লালখানবাজারের দিকে যাচ্ছিল। নিমতলা এলাকায় পৌঁছালে হঠাৎ গাড়িটি ফ্লাইওভার থেকে নিচে ছিটকে পড়ে এবং শফিকের ওপর পড়ে। ফায়ার সার্ভিসের কর্মীরা গুরুতর আহত শফিক ও প্রাইভেট কারের পাঁচজন আরোহীকে উদ্ধার করে চট্টগ্রাম মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ভর্তি করান। চিকিৎসকরা শফিককে মৃত ঘোষণা করেন। আহতদের মধ্যে অন্যদের নাম-ঠিকানা এখনও জানা যায়নি।&nbsp;
