The Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources has announced that diesel, petrol, octane and kerosene will be sold at the current prices in May. This information was given in a notification signed by the ministry's Senior Assistant Secretary Md. Enamul Haque on Thursday (April 30). The notification said that as per the consumer price fixed on April 18, diesel is being sold at Tk 115 per liter, octane at Tk 140, petrol at Tk 135 and kerosene at Tk 130. With the approval of the appropriate authorities, these prices will remain unchanged in May and will be effective from May 1.

মে মাসে ডিজেল, পেট্রোল, অকটেন ও কেরোসিন বর্তমান দরেই বিক্রি হবে বলে জানিয়েছে বিদ্যুৎ, জ্বালানি ও খনিজ সম্পদ মন্ত্রণালয়। আজ বৃহস্পতিবার (৩০ এপ্রিল) মন্ত্রণালয়ের জ্যেষ্ঠ সহকারী সচিব মো. এনামুল হক স্বাক্ষরিত এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়। প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়, গত ১৮ এপ্রিল নির্ধারিত ভোক্তাপর্যায়ের মূল্য অনুযায়ী ডিজেল প্রতি লিটার ১১৫ টাকা, অকটেন ১৪০ টাকা, পেট্রোল ১৩৫ টাকা এবং কেরোসিন ১৩০ টাকায় বিক্রি হচ্ছে। যথাযথ কর্তৃপক্ষের অনুমোদনক্রমে এ মূল্যহার মে মাসেও অপরিবর্তিত থাকবে এবং আগামী ১ মে থেকে তা কার্যকর বলে গণ্য হবে।
