DCs of Cox’s Bazar, Chapainawabganj and Madaripur withdrawn
The government has withdrawn the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Cox’s Bazar, Chapainawabganj and Madaripur, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday (September 15).
The order stated that Cox’s Bazar DC Mohammad Salahuddin, Chapainawabganj DC Md. Abdus Salam, and Madaripur DC Yeasmin Akter have been transferred and reassigned to different ministries.
Salahuddin has been posted to the Finance Division as Joint Secretary of the National Pay Commission, Abdus Salam to the Ministry of Religious Affairs as Joint Secretary, and Yeasmin Akter to the Health, Education and Family Welfare Department as Joint Secretary.
The order, issued “in the public interest,” takes immediate effect, the ministry said.
Earlier in the day, the government appointed Md. A. Mannan, Private Secretary (Deputy Secretary) to the Chairman of the National Pay Commission, as the new DC of Cox’s Bazar.
