DC's residence comes under attack in Gopalganj
Gopalganj has turned into a battlefield surrounding the National Citizen Party's (NCP) rally. After the rally, on their way back to Madaripur, the central leaders of the NCP convoy were attacked by Awami League and Chhatra League members.
Following this, clashes broke out between the police and the Awami League. During the clashes, Awami League leaders and activists attacked the Deputy Commissioner’s residence.
This attack happened around 4 PM on Wednesday (16 July) at the Deputy Commissioner’s residence.
To control the situation, Section 144 has been imposed by the district administration.
The matter was confirmed by Mir Md. Sajedur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station.
