Death penalty of 2 Bangladeshis in Saudi Arabia: Embassy seeks detailed information

The Bangladesh Embassy located in Riyadh has sought detailed information of the allegation brought against them, the case and the verdict of the court after the execution of the death penalty of two Bangladeshis on the allegation of immoral acts inside a mosque in Makkah of Saudi Arabia.

Sources informed that the Bangladesh Embassy or the Bangladesh Consulate in Jeddah was not informed about the case before the execution of the death penalty of those two Bangladeshis.

After the news of the execution of the death penalty was published in the Saudi media, detailed information of the allegation brought against the accused, the description of the case and the verdict of the court has been formally sought from the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh.

The names of the two Bangladeshis whose death penalty has been executed are Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Sithi Akter. Their death penalty was executed on last Wednesday on the allegation of immoral acts inside a mosque of Makkah.
