Death toll rises to 20, 171 injured receiving treatment: ISPR
The death toll from the crash of the Bangladesh Air Force's F-7 BGI training aircraft at the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, Dhaka, has increased to 20, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Additionally, 171 injured individuals are being treated at various hospitals.
At around 7:30pm on Monday (July 21), ISPR reported that the sudden plane crash resulted in the deaths of 20 people, including pilot Flight Lieutenant Mohammad Towkir Islam, and left 171 others injured.
Among the injured, 8 are receiving treatment at Kuwait Maitree Hospital, 70 at the National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute, 3 at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit of Dhaka Medical College (DMCH), 17 at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, 1 at Kurmitola General Hospital, 11 at Lubna General Hospital and Cardiac Center in Uttara, 60 at Uttara Modern Hospital, and 1 at Uttara Crescent Hospital, as per ISPR.
