Dengue: 2 more die, 762 hospitalised in 24 hrs

Dengue has claimed two more lives in the past 24 hours, while 762 new patients were hospitalised across the country.

According to a DGHS report on Wednesday (22 October), 129 cases were reported in Barishal, 170 in Dhaka division (outside city areas), 160 in Dhaka North, 100 in Dhaka South, 79 in Chattogram, and others from remaining divisions.

A total of 971 patients recovered in a day, taking this year’s recovery count to 59,492. So far, 62,367 people have been hospitalised with dengue in 2025, and 255 have died.
