The country has reported three new dengue deaths and 857 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours, raising the total death toll this year to 233, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). A DGHS bulletin released on Monday morning (October 13) said 283 new cases were recorded in Dhaka city, while the rest came from other divisions—136 in Dhaka (outside city), 163 in Barishal, 87 in Chattogram, 60 in Khulna, 76 in Rajshahi, 39 in Mymensingh, 7 in Rangpur, and 6 in Sylhet. Since January, 55,416 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals nationwide. Over the same period, 52,561 patients have recovered and been discharged. &nbsp;

দেশে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় নতুন করে আরও ৮৫৭ জন ডেঙ্গু আক্রান্ত রোগী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। একই সময়ে ডেঙ্গুতে আক্রান্ত হয়ে তিনজনের মৃত্যু হয়েছে। এতে চলতি বছরে এ রোগে মোট মৃত্যুর সংখ্যা বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ২৩৩ জনে। সোমবার (১৩ অক্টোবর) সকালে স্বাস্থ্য অধিদপ্তরের হেলথ ইমার্জেন্সি অপারেশন সেন্টার ও কন্ট্রোল রুম থেকে পাঠানো এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়। বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, রোববার সকাল ৮টা থেকে সোমবার সকাল ৮টা পর্যন্ত সময়ে ঢাকাসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন হাসপাতালে নতুন ৮৫৭ জন রোগী ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এর মধ্যে ঢাকার দুই সিটিতে ২৮৩ জন (উত্তরে ১৩৮ ও দক্ষিণে ১৪৫), ঢাকা বিভাগের অন্যান্য জেলায় ১৩৬ জন, বরিশালে ১৬৩ জন, চট্টগ্রামে ৮৭ জন, খুলনায় ৬০ জন, রাজশাহীতে ৭৬ জন, ময়মনসিংহে ৩৯ জন, রংপুরে ৭ জন এবং সিলেট বিভাগে ৬ জন নতুন করে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। এ নিয়ে চলতি বছরের শুরু থেকে এখন পর্যন্ত সারাদেশে মোট ৫৫ হাজার ৪১৬ জন ডেঙ্গু রোগী হাসপাতালে ভর্তি হয়েছেন। অন্যদিকে গত ২৪ ঘণ্টায় সারা দেশে ৭৭৮ জন রোগী সুস্থ হয়ে হাসপাতাল থেকে ছাড়পত্র পেয়েছেন। ফলে এ বছর এখন পর্যন্ত ছাড়পত্র পাওয়া রোগীর সংখ্যা দাঁড়িয়েছে ৫২ হাজার ৫৬১ জনে।
