Dengue claims 3 more lives, 735 new hospitalised

Dengue claimed three more lives in the past 24 hours, with 735 new patients admitted to hospitals across the country, according to the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Division-wise hospital admissions in the last day were: Barishal 166, Chattogram 98, Dhaka (outside city corporations) 156, Dhaka North City 121, Dhaka South City 95, Khulna 39, Mymensingh 35, Rajshahi 57, Rangpur 14, and Sylhet 4.

Meanwhile, 555 patients were discharged from hospitals during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 44,184.

Since January, a total of 46,786 dengue patients have been hospitalized, with the death toll reaching 195.
