Dengue claims 3 more lives in 24 hours
Dengue has claimed three more lives in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
A total of 428 new patients were admitted to hospitals during this period, bringing the total number of hospitalisations this year to 22,812. The death toll from dengue now stands at 92.
The Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of DGHS released the latest figures on Wednesday, highlighting the widespread nature of the outbreak across multiple divisions.
Of the newly admitted patients, 104 are from Barisal division, 74 from Dhaka division (outside city corporations), 62 from Dhaka South City Corporation, 51 from Dhaka North, 39 from Chattogram division, 30 from Khulna, 50 from Rajshahi, 14 from Mymensingh, and 4 from Rangpur.
Meanwhile, 409 patients have recovered and were discharged in the last 24 hours. So far, 21,461 people have recovered from dengue this year.
