Dengue fever has claimed four more lives in the past 24 hours, with 758 people admitted to hospitals across the country, according to the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services. Of the newly admitted patients, 202 are residents of Dhaka’s two city corporation areas. Among patients from other regions, 158 are from Dhaka division, 85 from Chattogram, 133 from Barishal, 50 from Mymensingh, 62 from Khulna, 19 from Rangpur, 47 from Rajshahi, and 2 from Sylhet. So far this year, dengue has claimed 242 lives. Since the beginning of 2023, a total of 57,015 people have been hospitalized due to the mosquito-borne disease.
